Languages

From and into Dutch, English and Russian, and from Serbian and Croatian.

Translating experience
I have experience with the translation of a wide range of different texts: technical manuals, medical texts, scientific articles in e.g. biology, economics, physics and chemistry, advertising, brochures, legal documents and other official documents such as passports and diplomas. For further information you can contact me at any time.

Sworn / official translations
As a sworn translator for Russian, English and Serbian/Croatian I am registered at the District Court in Almelo in the Netherlands. This means that I am authorized to translate official documents such as birth certificates, marriage and divorce certificates, extracts from the Trade Register, reports of court decisions and diplomas, and provide these with my stamp and signature of sworn translator, and if necessary with the ‘apostille’ (official stamp) of the District Court in Almelo.

Interpreting: consecutive and simultaneous

Consecutive or ‘ordinary’ interpretation means that the interpreter translates afterwards whatever is being said. Although such translation can go very fast, it is not simultaneous as with simultaneous interpreting. I have a great deal of experience working as a consecutive interpreter for Dutch, Russian and English in court, hospitals, aid organizations or social work, as well as business and industry.

I also work as a simultaneous interpreter for Dutch and English. A simultaneous interpreter is also known as a ‘conference interpreter’, because this work generally involves interpreting at conferences, in an interpreters’ booth together with another interpreter. The words of the speaker are translated simultaneously from or into the languages in question, in my case Dutch and English.
